Artist's Statement
To be fortunate enough to devote time and energy to something you love is a most special thing. Hours spent in my studio provide the pure luxury of creating paintings of things I find personally beautiful.
Whether I’m working on a Portrait, Landscape or Still Life, my goal is to evoke a sense of serenity to those who see my paintings. Ideally, they would want to be in that place, or feel that object, or meet that child.
As paintings leave the easel and new ones begin, I feel my best work is yet to come. My endeavor to create good art will be reinforced through continual study of the Old Masters timeless techniques.
A special thanks to all who have encouraged me over the years, especially my husband, children and now grandchildren.
