Biography

Picture
Rosemary, who lives in Fallston, Maryland with her husband Frank, has been drawing and painting since childhood.  Her earliest influences were the Watercolors of Winslow Homer and oils of Thomas Eakins and Mary Cassatt.  Spending hours at Galleries and Museums was not an unusual pastime. Fortunately, she lives near Washington D.C. where the National Gallery is a favorite pastime.

She has a background in watercolors, however has been painting exclusively in oils for the past several years. Being a gardener at heart, she enjoys capturing the seasons of flowers and landscapes. Her passion though lies in creating still life paintings in the chiaroscuro style.

Rosemary has studied privately with numerous master artists including Mitsue Elston, Rita Cooper, Elizabeth Pruitt, John Brandon Sills and Scott Royston.  Her work is included in both private and corporate collections.  She is a member of “Oil Painters of America”, the “National Oil & Acrylic Painting Society” and “Harford Artist Association”.
